Not much besides coughing and work today. I did go to see The Book of Kells though. There is generally admission to get in but Peter is faculty at Trinity so he can bring in two guests for free. It is really a fascinating work. The art in it is amazing, even though I only got to see two pages of two of the Gospels. They turn the pages every day though and apparantly there are some faculty that go every day so they see the new page when it is shown. Definitely worth a look if you are every around. Also, I got to see the Long Room, which is a room in the old library at Trinity. There are still really old books lining all the shelves, which surprised me as most schools keep old books like those in temperature and moisture controlled rooms. This room had its windows open, so I dunno, maybe they are all fake, but that would be alot of fake books. Anyway, the significance of this room is that it was used as the model for the great Jedi Library in the new Star Wars films. It was rather epic. Also worth a look.

This weekend will probably be spent cameraless in Athlone (boo to cameraless) so I won’t be posting. But here is a panorama from down the Old Bull Bridge in north Dublin. You really have to click on it, but even then it is so wide that it is hard to get the magnitude of it.
